A&R Scout at The Muzic Group

JOB SUMMARY

As an A&R Scout, you will identify emerging artists for The Muzic Group and it’s branded genre divisional Record Labels. You should have a clear understanding of the artistic and commercial potential of artists in today’s music landscape. You will work closely with The Muzic Group’s senior team to hand off new artist signings.

 

BACKGROUND

The Muzic Group is the executive managing music company for branded genre music labels, which provide services as: Global Digital Distribution for Music & Video | Music Publishing | Marketing & Promotion | Event Touring | Artist Management.

 

The Muzic Group is not just a music company with recording labels, rather a music group with focused, dedicated labels with a strong arsenal of tools and industry relationships. These “arsenal of tools” which The Muzic Group has built is a very strong platform for our labeled artist. It is our belief at The Muzic Group that both the artist and the label should have a WIN-WIN relationship. We consider a WIN-WIN relationship is one where both parties’ dealings are of integrity, respect and support for one another, while also maintaining a full understanding of the Label-Artists relationship on The Muzic Group’s platform.

WHAT DOES AN A&R SCOUT AT THE MUZIC GROUP DO?

  • Research and identify new and emerging artists

  • Manage the signing of a new artist to the label

  • Provide detailed analysis of prospective artist careers and audience engagement

  • Assist in the development of new artist and album

  • Attend local shows for new artists, when possible

 

 

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

  • 2+ years’ experience working in the music industry

  • Knowledge of current and future trends in music, music business, and pop culture

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and manage high-intensity situations while maintaining professionalism and poise

  • Sensitivity to confidential information and material

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Strong knowledge of any two genres: Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Christian/Gospel, Country, Latin & House.

 

 

COMPENSATION: (Commision) : $31,500K average low  to $157,500K+ avg. high

As a Director of Asia Pacific Relations, you will the primary liaison to identify & recommend performing venues for showcases and touring for The Muzic Group and it’s branded genre divisional Record Labeled artists. You must be willing to learn a clear understanding of the artistic and commercial potential of artists in today’s music landscape. You will work closely with The Muzic Group’s senior team to confirming venues, hotel and ground transportation of The Muzic Group's performing. artists

WHAT DOES DIRECTOR OF ASIA PACIFIC RELATIONS DO AT THE MUZIC GROUP DO?

  • Research and identify current & new performance venue(s)

  • Serve as the primary liaison between to The Muzic Group and venue(s)

  • Provide detailed analysis of prospective venue(s) and audience attendance 

  • Assist in planning the hotel and ground transportation for Artist and Staff.

  • Attend local shows for new artists, when possible

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

  • Must have and/or can obtain a country passport and business visa to the US

  • Must be able to attend the Company's expense paid training, director's meeting and expos located in the US   

  • Knowledge of trends in music demands in the Asia Pacific culture

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and manage high-intensity situations while maintaining professionalism and poise

  • Sensitivity to confidential information and material

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Strong knowledge of any two genres: Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Christian/Gospel, Country, Latin & House.

 

 

COMPENSATION: (Commision) : $35,000K average low  to $150,500K+ avg. high 

                              (Travel & Expense) : min. $100 to $1,500 per month/per job performance
